Hale Harris grew up fishing the waters of southern Montana and northern Wyoming. He has worked as a guide for Rainbow King Lodge in Illiamna, Alaska, and Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, Montana. He currently makes his home in Fort Smith, Montana, where he and his business partner, Steve Hilbers, own the Bighorn Trout Shop, the premier fly shop and lodge on the Bighorn River. Hale has been guiding fly fisherman for over 25 years. He has a passion for rising trout, big Alaskan rainbows, and steelhead on a two-handed rod.
