Gifford Maytham has been a full time guide in Colorado since 1992 and previously worked for the Orvis Co for 3 years in Manchester, VT. Giff floats his Hyde Aluminum LH signature series on the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers over 200 days a year as well as being one of the shop’s resident experts on fishing the Fryingpan river above and below Ruedi Reservoir. Most recently you may catch Giff on OLN (Outdoor LifeNetwork) Fly Fishing Masters 2004 and 2006 Competition, as he and his partner Frank Smethurst or Chris Hutchinson competed in and Won! As is the case with many of the Taylor Creek guides, Giff makes the time each year to head for the salt and fish the flats for bones, permit, and tarpon.
