Brian McCabe
Brian was born in Pittsburgh where he
soon after moved to central Idaho. There he grew
up learning to fish the Big Wood River and the areas
around Sun Valley. When Brian was ten, his grandfather
E.H. Adkins taught him the art of fly fishing.
Soon after he learned his new skill, his family moved
him to Watertown, Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, which
was vacant of Western trout streams, he adapted his
new love to fishing for carp on the Rock River, until
the liberating effects of obtaining a drivers license
allowed him to branch out. He then explored the
southwestern waters of Wisconsin's rolling farmland
and honed his skills of small spring creeks. His
passion for the west was not lost as he spent most of
his summers with his grandparents out west.
