| The Bahamas
South Andros
There few places where one can find an abundance of bonefish
averaging three to seven pounds. In fact, it's not uncommon
to be tested by bonefish in excess of 10 pounds while fishing
the famed waters of South Andros Island. Bonefish Bay Resort
offers what the Bahamas are famous for - large and plentiful
bonefish, endless flats and un-crowded waters. This is why
we have carefully chosen this beautiful destination.

The remote flats, creeks and channels on South
Andros Island are ideal for huge populations of bonefish and
other saltwater species. On average, the fish are much larger
(three to five pounds) than other popular bonefish destinations.
If you're after big bonefish, South Andros is the place. Big
aggressive bonefish are plentiful on the flats of South Andros
in February and March.Unlike North Andros, angling pressure
is very limited on the south Island. In fact, we did not encounter
another angler during our last trip. This makes Bonefish Bay
Resort an ideal location for the first time slat-water angler
as well as the experienced bonefisherman. If you can cast
40 feet of fly line, you will likely catch bonefish at Bonefish
Bay Resort.
Accommodations
The lodge consists of several clean, comfortable, air-conditioned
rooms located on a picturesque beach. You will be treated
with local Bahamian charm and hospitality during your stay.
Meals are served family-style in the main dining room. Delicious
dinners consist of fresh lobster, grouper, snapper, conch
and many other local delights.Bonefish Bay Resort is located
near Kemp's Bay on South Andros Island. The southern tip of
the island is home to some of the largest bonefish in the
Bahamas. Deep Creek, Little Creek, and Grassy Creek allow
for easy access to the western side of the Island.
